Lyn-Genet Recitas: Thank you so much for having me.

You & Me:  Okay, who isn’t excited to hear that they can eat their favorite stuff and still lose weight?

Lyn-Genet Recitas: Red wine, cheese, and chocolate they are a part of the diet that’s how I make friends.

You & Me: Tell us how it works, because the plan actually helps you to maximize your metabolism and reduces inflammation. How’s that work?

Lyn-Genet Recitas: You know that’s there’s a big myth, as we age our metabolism slows and that’s not true but the foods and exercises that you choose can slow your metabolism.

You don’t think of exercising slowing metabolic function but that’s actually what happens when you exercise too intensely, you raise your stress hormone cortisol, which in long-term causes fat storage and lead to weight gain.

You & Me: And that increases up your belly?

Lyn-Genet Recitas: oh yea…

You & Me: I See, I’ve been telling lie about metabolism for a long time, because I lie to myself. How did you go about discovering all of this?

Lyn-Genet Recitas:  well, originally I started with food, when I started to notice that people were gaining weight with healthy foods, as a matter of fact, one to two pounds with foods like salmon, Greek yogurt, oat milk, asparagus, and strawberry.

You & Me: Those are actually the thing I like; do I have to stop eating those things?

Lyn-Genet Recitas: Well, if they are making you sick and if you are gaining weight from them that’s your body saying, hey I love you please don’t eat this, so I actually tell people that’s scale is the best friend.

You & Me: Let’s talk some of the foods that you have here and explain how the program works and how we can figure out the foods that are causing the problems. If that makes sense!

Lyn-Genet Recitas: Yes absolutely, I tell everybody that most of the foods that you’re eating are probably working for you.

Everybody is eating at least 3 to 4 healthy foods and it could be like egg white and spinach omelet that you are virtuously eating, making you packs of pounds.

So what you want to do is, you want to follow the metabolism plan and find out the healthy foods that you are eating that actually work for you.

As like one woman says… Lyn, I love you, I found out that strawberry is making me fat not the cheesecake.

You & Me: And is it on our cheese?

Lyn-Genet Recitas: Very good! It’s actually, the food sensitivity and why it is happening is that healthy foods can cause histamine reaction, which cause short-term water weight gain and that histamine reaction triggers cortisol which cause long-term weight gain and that what’s slow your metabolism.

You & Me: Okay what about the exercise component of this, if you’re doing a very stressful week of exercise and how can you tailor it so that it’s not causing that response.

Lyn-Genet Recitas: Well, you want to find out what exercise works for you and for how long.

The worst thing you can do is wake up early to exercise because you burn most of the calories while you are sleeping. So don’t wake early to exercise and slow the healing process and pack on the pounds.

And you don’t want to exercise on the end of the day because that’s when your cortisol level starts to drop.

You & Me: Okay, so when do you do what if you’re not supposed to get up early.

Lyn-Genet Recitas: You can still do in the morning but don’t just wake up early…
