You may have a fatty liver, but that doesn’t mean you’re doomed. I had a fatty liver and reversed it in just 90 days! Read my story to find out how I did it.

I was in a pretty bad state when I decided to take control of my life. The fact is, no matter how much weight you lose if your liver isn’t working then any weight loss will be limited.

In this blog post, I’m going to share with you how I reversed my fatty liver and got back on track in just 90 days!

I was diagnosed as suffering from fatty liver disease some years ago, and since this time it has been a constant battle to keep the weight off.

I went on all sorts of diets, some worked better than others but nothing was ever sustainable for me. Over those years my weight ranged from 120-210lbs and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t shift the weight.

My mum had been suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome for a decade and was constantly on liquids as she was incapable of eating anything at all that wasn’t liquidized.

It turned out that it wasn’t just her that was suffering from this problem but for me too!

I think my body sort of gave up digesting food and was only able to absorb the liquidized stuff.

Up until that point, I never found any correlation between my mum’s illness and myself. We were just really close and we ate pretty much the same things, she wasn’t always drinking liquids though so I didn’t even consider that there might be a connection!

After being diagnosed with fatty liver I did some research, and it turns out that there are many health problems associated with that condition.

I discovered that the real damage starts when you get non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which is what I had. It was suggested to me by my dietitian to try taking milk thistle supplements. After doing some research I decided to go for it.

I found this stack on Amazon and started taking the supplements. I’m not going to lie, these are really bitter tablets so they’re difficult to take, but after taking them for a couple of weeks I became hungry again!  Normally when I wasn’t drinking liquids all day I would just get hungrier, so this was great!

I did some more research into the fatty liver and the dietitians suggested that I should try cutting out gluten. So I did just that, but after a couple of weeks, it seemed like my symptoms were getting worse again.

The only thing I could think of is that maybe if I cut down on sugar too then my symptoms would lessen.  So I cut out all sugar for a week, and when that didn’t work I cut it out all together!

After a couple of weeks, my symptoms were still there, and it was suggested to me by a friend that I should look into the keto diet.

I looked at a load of websites on this subject but it seemed like most if not all of them put you through an awful lot before getting to the end goal.

In addition, most of them were extremely strict and required you to measure everything!  At the end of the day I’m not very good at sticking to rules, so there was no way I could be expected to stick with any diet that had so many rules.

After doing some research on my own I found a website called customketodiet. This seemed a lot more relaxed and not as strict.

I was allowed to tell them how much weight I wanted to lose and what kind of time frame I was working towards, and they designed a diet around that.

After a couple of weeks on this diet, my symptoms were almost completely gone. In addition, I felt amazing! This way of eating has been sustainable for me, and I’m not craving any sugar at all. In addition, I feel like my body has finally gotten over its issues with digesting food again!

In the 90 days since starting this diet, I have so far lost over 20lbs in weight which is a great result. My target was to lose 3-5kg but I was expecting this to take considerably longer.

I will continue on this diet for the time being but in the future, I might try adding in some sugar here and there, though not nearly as much as I used to eat!

As of writing this article I’m about to start a cycle of lifting weights so hopefully, my strength will increase too.
