Dr. Maybell Nieves is a highly respected Breast and General Surgeon with over 10 years of experience in the operating theater.

Dr. Maybell Nieves graduated from Universidad Central de Venezuela. After completing a three-year specialization in general surgery, she was offered the opportunity to study at the prestigious European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy under Professor Umberto Veronesi – the father of modern breast surgery.
Despite all the censorship and difficulties in Venezuela, Dr. Nieves has remained dedicated to her patients and her work.
She regularly attends talk shows and conferences to raise awareness on the subject of cancer, even with all the obstacles in place.

Outside The Hospital Life
Outside of the hospital and her many extra hours in private practice, she enjoys spending time with her dogs. You could say she’s a pathological dog lover. She also loves swimming and going to the beach.
She also enjoys watching good movies. It’s the way she likes to relax after a hard day at the hospital and it helps her disconnect from all the suffering she witnesses each day.
