I have been struggling with hair fall for the past few months, and I am tired of it. I feel like my life has turned upside down because of this problem.

My friends are constantly making fun of me by pointing out that my hair is thinning every single day, and I can’t take it anymore!

The embarrassment has made me lose sleep at night, but even if you’re not feeling embarrassed about your hair loss then there’s still a lot to worry about when you see how much your quality of life is deteriorating.

So what should we do? Well in this blog post we will go over all the things that might be causing your hair fall and hopefully give some clear guidelines on how to stop it once and for all.

What Causes Hair Loss?

There are a lot of factors that can cause hair loss-

  • Mostly it has been attributed to heredity.
  • Some people have conditions in which their body is too sensitive to androgens (male hormones); this causes them to lose their hair at an early age.
  • Other people have conditions in which their body just doesn’t know how to metabolize nutrients properly, this causes them to lose their hair at an early age too.
  • Other possible factors are stress, protein deficiency, vitamin deficiencies or nutrient deficiencies in general, mineral deficiencies or other kinds of health problems…etc.

Some doctors attribute the problem to certain birth control pills.

However, I have tried to cover all the other possible reasons that are not related to heredity or gender in this article because men can also suffer from hair loss- it is not just a female thing.

What Can Be Done?

The first step would be diagnosis by your doctor. If you don’t know what’s causing your hair loss, then there is no real way to undo that problem or solve it.

So you should visit your doctor and tell him about the problem you’re facing. Go through all the possible causes mentioned above with him and see which one might apply to you.

He will most likely do a blood test to check for hormones and nutrient levels.

If it turns out that you have a vitamin or mineral deficiency then he will give you supplements to help with that, but if this is not the case then we can move on to other possible causes.

Many dermatologists say that stress might be the cause of your hair loss, so if your doctor thinks that’s what might be going on then you should do some meditation, yoga or any kind of relaxation for a few weeks before you consider anything else.

If that doesn’t solve the problem then it’s time to admit defeat and move forward with other treatments.

There are three possible treatment options that can help- topical treatments, oral medications, and laser therapy.

Topical Treatments:

There are a lot of proven certain shampoos and conditioners out there that claim they will stop your hair loss, but the only thing you can be sure about with these products is that they will slow down your hair loss, not completely stop it.

However, if you’re already in the advanced stages of hair loss then you need to use stronger and more powerful products, these treatments can be absorbed into the scalp and help stimulate blood circulation which in turn will increase the production of collagen. These two things combined will promote hair growth.

You might think this is impossible but there are a lot of people out there who have seen great results from using such treatments. Here are some of the top products you should try-

Restolin is known to be one of the most effective treatments for hair loss, but you have to use it every single day and for at least several months before seeing any results.

However, if you’re willing to put in that kind of effort then this is the perfect product for you.

Oral Medications:

There are medications you can take orally in order to stop your hair loss.

Minoxidil is a topical solution that causes your blood vessels to open wider and will assist with the absorption of nutrients. This kind of medication is easy to use, but again it takes time before seeing any results.

You might see some improvement in just one month but it will take up to three months before you see significant results.

You have to use it every day, twice a day for almost an entire year, so it’s time-consuming and not very effective.

And lastly, if your doctor says that your problem is hormonal then there are medications that can help with this too.

Laser Therapy:

This is one of the most expensive treatment options, but it’s also one of the most effective.  It works by using laser light which stimulates collagen production in your skin.  But again, this treatment takes a lot of time and money to work properly.

If you have excess facial or body hair then laser treatments can be used on those areas as well.  This is a great solution for people who don’t want to take medications orally and also don’t want to use topical solutions every single day.

All of the treatments mentioned above have high success rates, so it’s just a matter of finding out which one will work best for you.

Conclusion:

If you’re suffering from hair loss then you have to take it seriously.  Don’t wait until it’s too late, if your hair is thinning then start looking into treatment options as soon as possible, don’t worry about the inconvenience because dealing with hair loss is even more inconvenient.

If you’re suffering from hair loss then try not to stress yourself out, that’s the last thing you want to do.  Just find the right treatment for you and make sure you stick with it until you see results.
